#WanschurasHopThePond: Paris, Part 1

On Sunday, we drove through some beautiful English countryside, crossed the English Channel, drove through some beautiful French countryside, and arrived in Paris. We got in at around 7, stared at a map in the underground station until an English-speaking stranger took pity on our befuddled faces and helped point us in the direction of our hotel (there was no one working at the underground station on Sunday evening, and everything was in French. We were a little overwhelmed).

After checking into our hotel and getting instructions from the owner on which underground line to take to and from the Eiffel Tower, we set out to see the famous landmark.

It's one of those things that, before you've seen it in person, you wonder if it's overrated. Like how cool can it really be? Well, when we emerged from the underground to this sight, we could attest to the fact that it's definitely not overrated.
