Today I Feel...

L.O.V.E. <3

My very own, brand new Canon 5D Mark II camera is here!!!!!!!!!!

And, in case you can't tell, I kinda like it...like, a lot. =D

Some of you might be thinking, "I thought you were looking at a Canon 7D?" I was. Until God changed my plan. I was so frustrated after my third 7D order had gotten cancelled. I mean, why on earth did this keep happening? Shouldn't I just be able to buy a camera and the company ship it to me? My family kept saying, "well, that just wasn't your camera, God must have something better for you'. After the order got cancelled for the third time, I started looking into a couple of different options. I had thought about the 5D Mark II much earlier in my search, but had  ruled it out since for some bizarre reason I thought you could only use L-series lenses on it. However, after the cancellation of the thrid order, I was reading an article about it, and realized that the only restriction was that I couldn't use EF-S lenses. I was so excited. I would still be able to use my 3 best lenses!!! Of course by then it was clear to me which camera I should buy, and why my previous orders hadn't gone through. God is sooooo amazing; and I'm quite surprised myself sometimes that I actually have a 5D Mark II!!!

One other little part to the story. There is a camera store near where I work, and they sell used equiptment. I had seen that they had a bettery grip for the 7D, but when I went in to buy it it had already sold. I was bummed, because it was a good deal, but of course now I'm so glad that it was gone! =)

I loooove the shots this camera takes. I loooove the full frame. I loooove the ISO capabilities. Did I mention that I loooooooove this camera? =)
