Light infiltrating darkness, hope triumphing over despair, and love conquering hate. Christmas is for all this because "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."
