Freedom

Let music swell the breeze and ring through all the trees sweet freedom’s song.  Let mortal tongues awake, let all with breath partake, let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.
Our Fathers’ God to thee, Author of liberty to Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright with frreom’s holy light, protect us by Thy might, great God our King.

“Providence has showered on this great land Blessings without number, and has chosen you as the guardians of freedom, to preserve it for the benefit of the Human Race. May he who holds in his hands the destinies of nations make you worthy of the favors He has bestowed and enable you, with pure hearts and pure hands and sleepless vigilance, to guard and defend to the end of time the great charge He has committed to your keeping.” -President Andrew Jackson in his farewell address

  1. Great words…I fear we have failed the sleepless vigilance part. Great picture too of our beautiful flag. Good work, Meg.
